2017 Grand Asia Pacific Tuesday, November 21 – At Sea

We woke up at 8:15 and it was 72 degrees under partly cloudy skies with some rolling seas.  The water was hot again for a while and then it was shut off so I guess they were still working on it.  Hopefully it will be fixed before tonight since this is a gala night and we would like to be clean.  We ordered coffee and I updated the blog while we got ready for the day.  We went to breakfast at 9:15 and ate on the aft deck while I worked the crossword.  We read until 1 when we had ice cream and cookies.  We stayed on the aft deck until 2:30 when we went  to check on the slot tournament board.  Glenda was in 4th and I was in 6th, so I re-qualified and managed to get 2nd place which bumped her down to 5th.  We have one more round of qualifying on the 23rd before the finals.  I went to the cabin after talking with 3 other passengers who were having hot water issues as well and they said that the water was shut off from 1 to 3 while they attempted a final solution.  We had hot water, but the faucet would not shut off so we went to the front desk to report it and express our displeasure at all the problems.  We went back to the aft deck until 4:30 when we returned to the cabin to shower and dress for the gala.  We now had hot water but you could not adjust it any cooler than really hot.  I guess that you should be careful what wish for.  We managed showers but had to report it.  As we left the cabin, the supervisor came by and we told him about the adjustment problem and he said he would have someone look at it.  We went to the Crow's Nest and saw Jack & Carolyn, John & Kathryn and Keith & Kara.  We had a wheelchair dance before leaving for dinner.  After dinner, we went to the casino for 1 1/2 hours where Glenda won big on the slots while I lost.  We returned to the cabin at 10:20 and found 2 power bank devices as gala presents.
