We woke to the cruise director, J. T. ‘s announcements at 8:55 and ordered coffee. It was cloudy and 70 degrees with 54% humidity and 30 mph wind. We went to breakfast at 10 and then to the aft pool area where we met Denny and Bob and talked with them for a while. At 11:30, we went to the front desk to buy some Euros only to find out that they would have them in a couple of days. Glenda returned to the aft deck pool while I went to the Promenade deck and walked for 32 minutes before joining her. We went to the shops to look around before going to the casino to enter the first qualifying round of the slot tournament. I made the top score with 30 minutes to go. The top score on each of the qualifying days will compete in the finals. We went to the photo shop and bought a picture package and selected 2 photos to start it. At 2pm, we set our watches forward one hour. We read in the cabin until time for bingo at 4. We went by the casino to find that I had been bumped from the top score, so we will both have to try next time. At bingo, we got close but did not win. We returned to the cabin to get ready for the ‘smart casual’ evening. At 7 we went to the show to see Leighann Lord, a comedienne and it was a very funny show. At dinner, the supervisor as if we would like to be seated with the Captain at the upcoming Mariner’s Lunch and we agreed. After dinner, we went to the Crow’s Nest to hear Matt, the guitar player/singer perform. We had a great time. At 10:45, we went to the casino and played the penny slots before returning to the cabin at 11:15.
