On Black Friday, Glenda, Ken, Gary, and I rode the DART train to the West End and walked over to the Dallas World Aquarium.  Gary couldn’t believe that we had a real rain forest in downtown Dallas.  We saw lots of animals and fish and reptiles.  It was somewhat crowded, but not as bad as a normal weekend.   As we were leaving, we walked back to the West End area and got our first view of the Calatrava Bridge.  Much better that fighting the mobs trying to get a “deal” at the stores.

Thanksgiving Feast

Glenda’s youngest (biggest) brother came up from Leander for the Holiday.  Thea was hosting her second annual Thanksgiving dinner and she had printed menus and fancy jars of M&Ms with cross stitched images of each of us so we would know where to sit.  Her little dog Pablo whined for food from the table while her new dog Biscuit just lay quietly nearby.  The turkey was done on the grill and was delicious.  She also baked a pumpkin cheesecake and a double crust apple pie for dessert.  We had a great meal and then watched our Cowboys manage to lose another game.  Well, at least the Texans won.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
